ABOUT CHRIS TATUM

In the ever-evolving Communications industry, Chris Tatum stands out as one of the few who learned quickly to – himself, evolve to stay relevant. He has always been quick to embrace new ideas and adapt to new technologies, but with more than 30 years of television news and public relations experience under his belt, he has never strayed from the most basic element of ALL communication: THE HUMAN TOUCH.

Chris has reported and anchored at TV stations across the southeast, including Birmingham, Nashville, Savannah, Georgia, and most recently, Huntsville, Alabama which he now calls home.  Before television, Chris honed his broadcasting skills in radio, working at several stations in Mississippi, where he grew up, and at Nashville’s acclaimed WSM Radio, known for its flagship program, The Grand Ole Opry.

A proud veteran, Chris also served a 7-year hitch in the U.S. Navy.

In 2009, Chris took a hiatus from TV, putting his media savvy to work for some of Nashville’s premier Public Relations agencies. He has managed campaigns for some of music’s biggest names, including Lee Greenwood, Lorrie Morgan, Tanya Tucker, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Pop icon Merrill Osmond. He also managed PR accounts for a variety of lifestyle brands and non-profit organizations.

A self-described news junkie, Chris is drawn to stories about people overcoming life’s challenges. When he’s not working, he loves spending time at home, tending his rose garden, spoiling his nephews and nieces, and scratching the noggins of his 2 dogs and 4 cats.
